Position Summary:
The Springs Living is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to act as a strategic HR partner to leadership, providing expert guidance on employee relations and performance management; ensure compliance with employment laws through effective policies and training; and drive enterprise-wide HR initiatives that align people strategies with business goals and improve organizational effectiveness. join its team of talented, values-driven HR professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Regional Directors of Operations and Executive Directors to align business strategies with organizational effectiveness, employee performance, and operational priorities, ensuring people strategies support overall business objectives
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to integrate company goals with culture, compliance, and people-centric strategies that drive engagement and performance
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance on employee performance management, ensuring consistency, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals
- Lead the resolution of complex employee relations matters by conducting thorough, objective investigations and advising leadership on risk mitigation and outcomes
- Serve as a subject matter expert on leave of absence programs (FMLA, OFLA, and other LOAs), ensuring compliant administration, tracking, and process optimization
- Oversee and continuously improve the company’s drug screening program to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Manage and respond to unemployment claims, mitigating organizational risk and ensuring timely, accurate representation
- Provide final review and approval of termination decisions, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and organizational standards
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s performance management framework
- Act as a senior HR resource by advising and triaging complex HR inquiries across all levels of the organization
- Ensure organizational compliance with evolving employment laws by developing, updating, and implementing policies and delivering manager training
- Provide expert interpretation and guidance on HR policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization
- Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies to support long-term business objectives
- Contribute to broader People and organizational initiatives, taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support business priorities
- Provides strategic HR advisory and operational support to senior living communities throughout Oregon, Washington, and/or Montana
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Human Resources or related field) strongly preferred
- Professional certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, lead, and delegate across multiple competing initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership
- Advanced ability to interpret and operationalize complex information from written, verbal, and data-driven sources to inform decision-making
- Strong business writing skills, including development of reports, executive communications, and organizational policies and procedures
- High level of technical proficiency across HRIS systems and business tools, including data analysis, reporting, and process optimization
- Proven ability to analyze complex business challenges, exercise sound judgment, and deliver strategic, solutions-oriented outcomes in ambiguous environments
