Senior PeopleSoft HRIS Analyst
Chicago, IL – onsite 2-3 days/week in the loop; WFH 2-3 days week
6+ month contract, likelihood of extension

SUMMARY
The Senior PeopleSoft HRIS Analyst is focused on providing tier 3 technical support for the PeopleSoft HCM environment, which consists of most of the HCM modules. Candidates do not experience with all PS HCM modules, but need to be comfortable providing escalated support issues as it relates to PS HCM broadly.
What you'll be doing
  • Capture requirements from key business contacts and ensure documented requirements satisfy business needs (aligning use cases and stories/features to business processes) while addressing all downstream impacts.
  • Research, understand, and document business processes.
  • Form and maintain business requirements and functional specification documentation.
  • Acts as relationship manager in the process of seeking out, identifying, and resolving business needs and/or business problems through process and/or technical recommendations and/or technical solutions across practice groups, units as assigned.
  • Evaluate how new requirements fit into an existing product and ensure consistency throughout the product
  • Translate requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing. Additionally, perform QA reviews prior to client delivery.
  • Be a part of the change management process and effectively communicate required changes to development teams.
  • Deliver project requirements and service levels in a deadline driven environment.
  • Work effectively with business users, IT developers and external vendors to translate business needs into detailed requirements
  • Manage projects, issue tracking, monitoring of target dates, and sponsor communication as required

Skills we're seeking
  • 5+ years of experience with PeopleSoft HRIS
  • Strong experience with requirements gathering as it relates to HRIS applications
  • Experience playing the liaison between the business (HR) and the technical delivery teams, to ensure requirements are delivered in accordance with business requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Nice to have experience
  • Technical PeopleSoft experience:
    • Experience with PeopleSoft Query and with data models, table layouts and design concepts using SQL (Structured Query Language) for reporting and data analysis
    • Experience with PeopleTools, PeopleCode or other PeopleSoft related technologies
  • Experience with Jira
  • Project Management experience
  • Azure experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IT or HR related field
