CarterWill Search is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney in Jacksonville, FL for a Direct Hire opportunity. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned litigator ready to lead complex cases from intake through verdict. Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a high-value personal injury caseload from pre-suit through trial.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Serve as first or second chair in jury trials.
  • Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and guide settlement negotiations.
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and legal staff.
  • Maintain consistent client communication and provide clear legal guidance.
  • Partner with experts, investigators, and support staff to build strong cases.
Requirements/Education:
  • Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 7+ years of personal injury litigation experience with trial experience required.
  • Proven track record of success in trials, preferably jury trials.
  • Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, writing, and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage a demanding caseload.
  • Professional, ethical, and client-focused approach.
  • Experience with catastrophic injury or wrongful death cases preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Experience handling high-value cases with complex damages or policy limits preferred.
