    How you'll make an impact in this role

    • Collect and process blood specimens for testing, register patients and serve as a resource to phlebotomy team.
    • Register patient information and order laboratory tests.
    • Evaluate test requests for method, time, patient preparation and proper collection procedures.
    • Draw and collect blood samples according to policy. Verify all related records.
    • Label, process and deliver specimens for testing according to protocol.
    • Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment, instruments, and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.

    What minimum requirements you'll need

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
    • Phlebotomy Tech preferred.

    Education:

    • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate''s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
