Job Title: Senior Physician Assistant – Urgent Care/Emergency
Location: Folsom/Roseville, CA
OnsiteSchedule: Various schedules, including evenings/weekends as needed
Salary: $175,200 – $264,800/year
Travel: Up to 50%
Key Responsibilities* Evaluate patients, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations.* Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies.* Diagnose and treat patients and develop appropriate care plans.* Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, injections, and other department-specific procedures.* Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record.* Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care.* Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges when required.* Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.* Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives.* Mentor and support less experienced Physician Assistants.* Work evenings, weekends, or other schedules based on department needs.
Required Qualifications* 3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years.* Extensive experience in Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care.* Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.* Active California Physician Assistant license required at hire.* Physician Assistant National Certification (NCCPA) required.* National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.* Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.* Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.* Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.Would you like to know more about this opportunity?
