Description Description - External The Senior Pipeline Engineer would sit in our Minneapolis office and be responsible for oversight pipeline engineering and consulting services for clients across the US. Main responsibilities include leading others in creating pipeline design deliverables. Projects range in size and complexity from small utility distribution upgrades to large transmission projects. This position can influence the growth and success of the Pipelines group. Opportunities to advance into leadership roles are available. Senior Pipeline Engineer may include full or partial responsibility of the following assignments Lead in the execution of engineering activities Pipeline design including plans profiles details and associated bill of materials Pipeline facility design metering and regulating stations storage field upgrades and compressor stations including plans sections and details and associated bill of materials Coordination to obtain survey geotechnical investigations permitting land acquisition. Calculations for studies and reports Material and equipment specifications for procurement andor factory acceptance testing Lead in preparation of proposals and scope development including Conceptual designs and execution plans Engineeringproject cost estimates and schedules Lead coordination of design activities with other disciplines Pipeline Facilities CivilStructural Electrical Instrumentation and Control etc. Develop and improve processes tools andor factory acceptance testing Provide leadership training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members Regularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel Provide short term field support during construction Support business development and marketing initiatives Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. and 7 years pipeline engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related degree from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering FE exam. and 7 years pipeline engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required or Master Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 6 years pipeline engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills e.g. AutoCAD MicroStation ATF. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment. Demonstrated critical thinking skills ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment. Strong attention to detail facilitation team building collaboration organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications. Ability to travel. Professional Engineer PE License Preferred Compensation 135000.00-210000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all localstate regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors including but not limited to individual education qualifications prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
