SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Sr. Piping Designer supervises Piping projects and budgets for all phases of the piping design scope.RESPONSIBILITIESPiping Designer assists in planning schedules and workforce requirements for projectsOwnership of plant layout and designMaintains and promotes a focus on Polaris' products, whether engineering, fabrication, or constructionPiping Designer ensures effective communication among other engineering disciplines and effective change managementThe individual in this role assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control for assigned piping workLeads project teams of Piping Designers and DraftersMentors Junior Piping Designers and Drafters, teaching by example and discourse the design craftMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSr. Piping Designer has ten years of experience in piping design for Refining, Gas Processing, or LNG projectsThe individual should have mastered current piping design, drafting responsibilities, and software packagesThe candidate demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of design concepts and systemsSeven years of AutoCAD experience is required8+ years of progressive experience in plant layout, piping design, design modeling, and drafting as a Design Lead preferredHigh School diploma requiredCollege or associate degree preferredAvailable for short‑term travelAvailable to work overtime if necessaryBe able to obtain and maintain TWIC and client facility entry requirementsREPORTING REQUIREMENTSReports to the Piping Design CoordinatorPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift to 40 pounds at timesMust be able to work in facilities, climbing ladder, stairs, and walking in warm temperatures#J-18808-Ljbffr
