Job Title: Senior Planner

Job Description

The Senior Planner is responsible for transposing forecasts into SAP, owning MRP, and ensuring inventory availability to support manufacturing. This individual will collaborate closely with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and R&D teams to address supply constraints, support capacity and S&OP discussions, and drive overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchase plan to ensure inventory supply through the analysis of consumption, reorder points, and order quantities.
  • Analyze inventory levels, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and recommend appropriate actions to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Liaise with internal customers regularly to align priorities, commitments, constraints, and recovery plans.
  • Lead initiatives to improve and optimize planning processes and systems resulting in enhanced supply delivery and efficient coordination of materials and resources used in manufacturing processes.
  • Identify areas where secondary sourcing plans should be established.
  • Develop and maintain planning parameters within the ERP system and become the site ERP Superuser.
  • Support new product development and introductions and successful transition to volume manufacturing.
  • Support engineering and product assurance with spec changes, quality issues, and improvement projects.
  • Act as supply chain SME for cross-functional meetings.
  • Follow company policies, practices, and safety guidelines as outlined.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Degree or Certification in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning and procurement, preferably with ERP systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) programs.
  • Familiarity with ISO and current GMP requirements.
  • Effective listening, communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead through complexity and competing priorities.
  • Self-motivated with an innate sense of urgency and drive for completion of tasks and projects under minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, third-party logistics, shipping, and receiving.
  • Familiarity with international shipping, freight, medical devices, and hospitals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.
