Senior Plant Accountant

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Plant Accountant:
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Analyze financial results and deliver actionable insights on variances and performance trends
• Own standard costing processes, including cost rolls and product costing inputs (BOMs, routings, rates)
• Manage inventory accounting, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations
• Oversee fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies

Qualifications for the Senior Plant Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of manufacturing accounting experience with strong cost accounting focus
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools
• Expertise in inventory accounting, variance analysis, and standard costing
