Join a platform engineering team focused on building secure, scalable cloud infrastructure through automation. In this senior role, you will drive Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives across multi-cloud environments using Terraform and Ansible, collaborate with product teams, and apply a security-first mindset. You will also leverage generative AI tools where appropriate to improve engineering efficiency, accuracy, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible across multiple cloud providers.
  • Manage Git-based workflows (GitLab preferred); create and review merge requests across multiple repositories.
  • Configure, build, and deploy containerized services with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Implement monitoring, configuration management, and logging for multi-tenant, multi-cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues by analyzing traffic flows between customer and hosted environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and governance materials.
  • Operate with a security-first mindset and follow SDLC best practices.
  • Use generative AI elements to improve speed, accuracy, and resource management within established security guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on Ansible automation (including Roles/Galaxy).
  • 5+ years hands-on Terraform building and maintaining production infrastructure at scale.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting; proficiency with Python and Bash.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows (GitLab or similar).
  • Hands-on with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and core services (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
  • Fundamental networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPC/VNet connectivity.
  • Experience with RBAC design/provisioning and logging/monitoring in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Docker/Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault).
  • ServiceNow/ITIL experience.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Terraform and/or cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Work Environment

  • Hybrid onsite in Austin, TX, collaborating closely with product and operations teams.
  • Multi-cloud environment with strong emphasis on security and automation-first practices.
