Senior Platform & Infrastructure Engineer – ML Platforms

IDR is seeking a Senior Platform & Infrastructure Engineer – ML Platforms to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and operate the core infrastructure and ML platforms that enable large-scale distributed training, simulation, and evaluation for advanced game understanding agents. This is a chance to contribute to a high-impact engineering team within a leading technology and gaming-focused organization.

Position Overview for the Senior Platform & Infrastructure Engineer – ML Platforms :

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based platforms and multi-node GPU compute clusters supporting distributed ML training and evaluation.
• Create scalable infrastructure to run simulation environments in parallel for rollouts, data collection, training, and policy evaluation.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, artifact management, and infrastructure-as-code across cloud environments.
• Improve reliability, performance, cost efficiency, reproducibility, and operational maturity through standards and automation.
• Implement observability (monitoring, alerting, dashboards, health indicators, SLOs) and support incident response and root-cause remediation.

Requirements for the Senior Platform & Infrastructure Engineer – ML Platforms :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience, plus 3+ years of software engineering experience with infrastructure/platform engineering or SRE focus.
• Strong production experience operating distributed systems, including maintaining reliability under real load and driving operational improvements.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, deployment automation, and production tooling.
• Experience with GPU compute infrastructure, including scheduling, multi-node orchestration, and resource optimization for long-running training workloads.
• Proficiency in Python and solid fundamentals in networking, microservices, and distributed systems (with familiarity in MLOps workflows such as experiment tracking, artifact management, pipelines, and model versioning).
