We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior PLC & Automation Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation controls, and electrical troubleshooting. This position will play a critical role in our legal firm, ensuring that our automation systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior PLC & Automation Controls Technician, your duties will include:

1. Designing, programming, and maintaining PLC systems, particularly those involving Allen Bradley hardware.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing faults in VFDs, PLCs, and other automation control systems.
3. Developing and implementing ladder logic for PLCs.
4. Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on automation equipment.
5. Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement automation projects.
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of training programs for other team members on PLC and automation control systems.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in automation technology and implementing new technologies as appropriate.
8. Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
9. Providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on PLCs and automation controls.
2. Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and ladder logic.
3. Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting.
4. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
7. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
