Senior Policy Advisor / Reengineering Lead

Lead the future of policy development and implementation in a role that directly influences organizational strategy and stakeholder decision-making. As the Policy Analysis Director, you will provide senior leadership for policy research, analysis, and development efforts, guiding teams that evaluate complex policy issues and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Working closely with government representatives, stakeholders, and executive leadership, you will oversee the creation of high-quality policy deliverables, assess the impact of proposed policy changes, and help shape strategic initiatives that drive meaningful outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on policy support activities, including interpretation of relevant statutes, regulations, and executive directives.
• Serve as a key point of contact with government representatives and stakeholders on policy-related matters, participating in routine status updates and working sessions as needed.
• Oversee the development of policy deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with program objectives and requirements.
• Provide direction and oversight to personnel supporting policy research, analysis, and development activities.
• Review and approve policy-related products prior to submission.
• Identify and assess policy-related risks, issues, and dependencies, and coordinate mitigation strategies with project leadership.
• Support the preparation of reports, briefings, and other required deliverables, including contributing to policy-related content as applicable.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs research goals and strategic planning for policy analysis.
• Examines the current and potential impacts of policy implementation.
• Engages with policymakers, academics, or other stakeholders to identify and gather insight.
• Communicates key findings to decision makers and stakeholders.
• May develop metrics around policy education and planning.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
• Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.
• Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 10+ years of relevant professional experience required.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in policy analysis, strategic planning, program operations, or other closely related disciplines, with a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and programs, establish priorities, and drive successful outcomes in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Advanced experience conducting research, evaluating policy issues, and developing data-driven recommendations to support organizational and stakeholder objectives.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex policy, regulatory, and operational impacts and translate findings into actionable guidance.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers, build consensus, and collaborate effectively with executive leadership, government representatives, policymakers, and other key stakeholders.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
