Description
Reporting into senior leadership, the Senior Preconstruction Manager will lead both people and process across major pursuits and ongoing preconstruction activities.
- Own and lead the full preconstruction lifecycle from initial pursuit through contract award
- Direct Request for Proposal (RFP) strategy, submissions, and client presentations
- Oversee budgeting, estimating, and financial modeling for complex commercial projects
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks including cost exposures, schedule challenges, and procurement risks
- Manage drawings, specifications, and subcontractor engagement to ensure alignment and accuracy
- Lead, mentor, and develop estimators and preconstruction team members
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
Profile
For the Senior Preconstruction Manager, we are seeking:
- Extensive experience in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction management
- Proven track record leading complex project pursuits and managing bid strategies
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in cost planning, budgeting, and risk analysis
- Experience managing and mentoring teams within a construction environment
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build relationships with clients and design partners
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel)
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Job Offer
- Competitive base salary in the range of $155,000 - $175,000
