Job Description
Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through project turnover to operations
Prepare conceptual estimates, detailed cost estimates, and project budgets
Coordinate design development and value engineering activities
Develop pricing strategies and competitive project proposals
Participate in client presentations, interviews, and project pursuit meetings
Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and industry partners
Support business development initiatives and help secure new work
Analyze drawings, specifications, schedules, and project risks
Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing efforts
Work closely with project management and operations teams during project handoff
Provide market intelligence, cost trends, and strategic planning recommendations
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the preconstruction process
The Successful Applicant
5-10 years of preconstruction experience
Proven success managing preconstruction efforts on commercial construction projects
Experience helping win work through client interaction and relationship development
Strong presentation and communication skills
Comfortable participating in client meetings and project interviews
Experience preparing budgets and conceptual estimates for projects ranging from approximately $10M-$50M+
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and pricing
Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, estimating, and business development teams
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
