    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide technical leadership throughout the entire product lifecycle, from requirements definition and system architecture through qualification, production, and long-term sustainment.
    • Lead the design, analysis, simulation, verification, and integration of innovative analog and digital hardware solutions for mission-critical, harsh-environment applications.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test plans, and verification reports.
    • Present technical concepts, designs, and results at internal and customer design reviews.
    • Evaluate and optimize complex engineering tradeoffs involving performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, schedule, and risk.
    • Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues and support product improvements.
    • Provide hands-on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action support for both new and legacy products.
    • Mentor and develop engineering talent, contribute to technical proposals and cost estimates, and participate in technical recruiting and hiring activities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience in analog and digital circuit design, including A/D conversion, processors/microcontrollers, digital I/O, and communication interfaces.
    • Strong expertise in power electronics and power conversion technologies, including MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN devices.
    • Extensive experience designing DC/DC converters and working with military and aerospace standards, including MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461.
    • Deep knowledge of electrical and environmental analysis methods, including thermal analysis, electrical stress analysis, worst-case analysis, tolerance analysis, aging analysis, FMEA, EMI/EMC, and radiation effects (SEU and TID).
    • Proven experience with printed wiring board (PWB) layout for high-power, high-voltage, and EMI-compliant applications.
    • Strong understanding of communication protocols including CAN, RS-232/422/485, SPI, JTAG, PCI/PCIe, and 1G/10G Ethernet.
    • Experience with motor control systems, control theory, Z-domain analysis, Clarke and Park transforms, and sensor interfaces such as LVDTs, resolvers, and encoders.
    • Proficiency with industry-standard CAD and simulation tools, including LTspice, PSpice, OrCAD, Allegro, MATLAB, and Simulink.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary technical efforts.
