Our client, a leader in chemical manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer-SME to join their team. As a Senior Process Engineer- SME, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting multi-site initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Salary: $130,000-$160,000 + 5% bonus

What's the Job?

  • Lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes across multiple sites
  • Support new product introductions and process improvements
  • Mentor and guide process engineers; foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot complex process issues and lead root cause investigations
  • Drive raw material efficiency, yield improvement, and waste reduction initiatives

What's Needed?

  • B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience within a chemical manufacturing production environment, preferably in fluid handling or non-hazardous chemical processing
  • At least 4+ years’ experience in contract manufacturing and customer management
  • Strong process design and optimization experience
  • Knowledge of validation practices (IQ/OQ/PQ) and root cause analysis tools (e.g., FMEA)
