Learn more atRoeslein & Associates – Global EPC Services & Solutions.POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Process Engineer will lead the process engineering effort on EPFC (engineer, procure, fabricate, construct) projects and provide guidance to less experienced process engineers. Work spans multiple sectors, including Oil & Gas, Refineries, Pharma, and Alternative Energy. Responsibilities include developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Material Balances, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process simulations, equipment datasheets, and calculations to support projects.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide process support for new projects, including:Develop process simulations and new models for complex projectsDevelop material and energy balances for complex projectsLead development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)Manage process requirements for equipment selectionAct as subject matter expert in Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs)Manage project permitting with clientsCoordinate and lead shop inspections, field commissioning, and project startupManage technology selection or develop new technology as neededCoordinate proposal development for new projectsLead improvements in work processesDevelop subject matter expertise in key areasParticipate in internal and external project meetingsOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Mentor and lead other process engineering team membersConduct all activities in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with company requirementsPromote a positive working environment to achieve organizational goalsTravel domestically and internationally, ranging from 10-20% per year, with potential for increased travel during project start-up periodsPerform other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed in an office and uncontrolled atmosphere. Short-term exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures is possible. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear personal protective equipment in designated areas.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employee must be able to walk, stand, use hands/fingers, grip, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. regularly is required.QualificationsSKILL / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:Required:Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProcess simulation development experienceKnowledge of PFDs and P&IDsExperience leading project developmentProficiency with Microsoft Windows-based programsAbility to work flexible hours and occasional weekendsValid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle recordMust be at least 21 years of agePreferred:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university8–15 years of process engineering experienceEIT registration or desire to obtain Professional CertificationExperience with Management of Change (MOC)Experience evaluating new technologyExperience developing small teamsStrong process, mechanical, and electrical aptitude with hands‑on experienceKeys to Success:Effective time management skills across multiple projects, personal conduct, and change management abilitiesAbility to interact effectively with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contactsCompliance with Roeslein & Associates' core values for safe and efficient operationsBENEFITS & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Roeslein invests in its team members' success and well‑being.
