KJ is seeking a collaborative Senior Process Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Water Infrastructure team to projects company wide.

The Senior Process Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the Water treatment processes are efficient, compliant with regulations, and environmentally responsible.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position will function as the technical expert focusing on water process projects across the organization. • This position will apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis for solution development, effectively communicate with all stakeholders and levels, and will manage projects focused on water process. • This position will be responsible for projects focused on detailed design and project management of small to large civil infrastructure projects, including but not limited to water, sanitary sewer, collection systems, pump stations, and water treatment processes and plants. • Design and optimize water treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems, to maximize efficiency and minimize environmental impact. • Manage projects from the planning phase through construction. • Supporting business development and helping to identify and develop new water pursuits. • Collaborate with our existing contacts in the wastewater industry to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of progressive relevant water experience • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree strongly preferred • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, ideally in California, Oregon, Washington, or Colorado, with willingness and ability to add additional states • Wastewater process experience with strong technical knowledge of the water industry • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients • Experience with business development and sales • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Design-Build experience a plus, but not required

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $150,000 to $181,000 and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure, certifications, and geographic location.
