LHH's client is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Lead to join a growing procurement team. This is a highly visible individual contributor role reporting to the Purchasing Manager and working closely with operations, legal, finance, and business stakeholders. Location: South Ozone Park, NY (moving to Belmont Park this summer) Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite Salary Range: 70K-80K annually Key Responsibilities: • Lead full lifecycle sourcing and procurement activities across multiple categories • Develop and manage RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and vendor solicitations • Drive vendor negotiations, contract renewals, and pricing strategy • Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyze supplier performance and spend • Partner with legal and business teams on contracts, compliance, and procurement strategy • Support bid openings, evaluation committees, and supplier selection • Maintain procurement records and vendor data in ERP/procurement systems • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed Qualifications: • 5+ years of procurement experience (must be procurement-focused, not supply chain/logistics) • Experience managing public or institutional solicitations strongly preferred • Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders • Familiarity with ERP/procurement tools (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, etc.) • Bachelor's degree required Ideal Candidate: • Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision • Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines If you're a procurement professional looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with strong growth potential, we'd love to connect.
