SENIOR PRODUCER – SHOW PRODUCTION

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Producer – Show Production serves as the strategic production lead for edgefactory's largest and most complex live, hybrid, and virtual event productions. This role is responsible for leading every aspect of the attendee experience, from show concept and production strategy through rehearsals, technical execution, and final delivery.

 

As the primary client advisor for show production, the Senior Producer partners closely with clients, presenters, creative teams, technical directors, and production staff to develop engaging experiences that are operationally sound, creatively compelling, and flawlessly executed. This position balances creative vision with operational excellence while ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

 

In addition to leading high-profile productions, the Senior Producer mentors Producers and Associate Producers, contributes to department standards and best practices, and partners with Executive Leadership on strategic initiatives that continue to elevate edgefactory's production capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Client Leadership

  • Serve as the strategic production advisor for assigned enterprise clients.
  • Lead executive planning meetings, production workshops, and show strategy discussions.
  • Build long-term client relationships through trusted consultation and exceptional service.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend production solutions.

Show Production Leadership

  • Lead the overall production strategy for live, hybrid, and virtual events.
  • Develop show flow, production timelines, rehearsal plans, and execution strategies.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Event Technology, Communications, and Operations to deliver seamless productions.
  • Direct production meetings and rehearsals.
  • Ensure all production elements support the overall attendee experience.

Project Leadership

  • Manage project scope, budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and production timelines.
  • Identify risks early and develop proactive solutions.
  • Coordinate presenters, entertainment, vendors, production partners, and technical teams.
  • Ensure successful delivery of all contractual obligations.

Live Event Execution

  • Serve as the senior onsite Show Producer.
  • Lead rehearsals, speaker preparation, and technical run-throughs.
  • Make real-time production decisions during live events.
  • Guide show callers, technical directors, presenters, and production teams throughout execution.
  • Maintain the highest standards of client experience and production quality.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and coach Producers and Associate Producers.
  • Share best practices and production knowledge across the department.
  • Support onboarding and professional development initiatives.
  • Assist Executive Producer with staffing, forecasting, and departmental planning.

 

Financial and Operational Management

  • Develop and oversee project budgets.
  • Monitor profitability throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Manage vendor negotiations, estimates, contracts, and reconciliation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and production quality.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years producing corporate meetings, conferences, live events, or broadcast productions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale productions.
  • Strong leadership and client management skills.
  • Advanced understanding of live event production workflows.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and vendors.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Asana (or similar project management software).
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile productions simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended production hours.

  • Experience with show calling and rehearsal management.
  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms and live production technologies.
  • Experience mentoring production teams.

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Production, Event Management, Liberal Arts, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

 

TIME COMMITMENT:

Monday through Friday. Office hours are 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM. Travel, evenings, weekends, and extended production hours are required based on event schedules.
