The position’s primary responsibility will be to define, implement and support integration, testing and transition of MEDITECH Expanse and other source HIS systems to HCA Healthcare Revenue Cycle systems. This includes management and facilitation of clinical linkage and financial testing events between the HIS system and HCA Healthcare systems and may also include 3rd Party Vendor integrations. Provides recognized business knowledge and subject matter expertise in analyzing and collaborating on business opportunities and IT-based solutions for a specified business area. Supports business owners and is considered to be the ITG liaison between development and the business. Works with other key project team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the IT solution meets requirements and the business need.
This position requires a background and operational experience with healthcare business practices and with healthcare IT revenue cycle systems including MEDITECH Expanse. Candidate should have sound knowledge and experience in HIS Systems, including financially focused testing and implementations. Experience in Patient Access (Admissions), Charge generation, Billing and Collections areas within the Revenue Cycle process is desired.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides expertise and manages clinical build and linkage between MEDITECH Expanse and HCA Healthcare Revenue Cycle systems.
Helps coordinate and supports financial testing events to validate and support integration between MEDITECH Expanse and HCA Healthcare Revenue Cycle systems.
Supports an efficient workplace including clear communication, streamlined processes, flexibility, positive environments, and a culture of innovation
Identifies repetitive, time-consuming tasks that don't require human judgment in support of automating these processes
Communicates with transparency ensuring issues and concerns are raised for visibility
Encourages cross departmental communication, breaking down silos between departments which creates significant efficiency opportunities by reducing duplication of effort, accelerating decision-making
Is a mentor and guide through the implementations process to other members of the team.
Demonstrate a strong daily commitment to the work we do, the people we serve and understand at a deep level the importance of the work that we do on this team that helps to create the successful outcomes for the Expanse implementation and integration to Patient Accounting.
Ensure all deadlines are met without exception
Work with the HIS Solutions PA, Development and Reporting teams to ensure Financial Testing results are accurate and reflect the most current information possible for successful Go Live activities
Creates deliverables independently and in conjunction with the business area and other team members
Provides coordination and clarification to project resources in support of product or solution development and testing.
Builds network of relationships to draw upon for business expertise that may be required in key areas.
Identifies impact to other solutions or projects, and works with other analyst and stakeholders to identify options and recommendations for mitigation strategies
Ability to multi-task, given various assignments, assisting management in prioritization of tasks
Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals
Works with all departments throughout product life cycle to ensure project dates are met and ensures timely completion of deliverables.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
5 or more years experience on increasingly challenging projects in HIS system build, integration testing and implementations.
Understanding of integration between HIS systems and Revenue Cycle systems.
Understanding of the product analyst role with ability to educate others about the analyst roles and responsibilities
Thorough understanding of critical IT processes - project lifecycles & SDLC
Solid collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Detailed oriented and analytical with good organization skills
Must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Strong problem and issue resolution experience
Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization
Highly motivated and be able to work independently with little supervision
Background and operational experience in HCA Revenue Cycle systems desired
Expertise in Patient Access and Hospital Receivables operations
Healthcare Integration, preferably HL7 standards experience required
Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
