About the Role:

In this role, you'll help analyze and report financial data for specific business lines, working closely with senior leadership and various internal teams. You'll be at the center of the action - connecting front office insights with operational strategy and financial reporting.

What You'll Do:
  • Analyze and prepare balance sheets and P&L reports for financial products.
  • Validate financial data, postings, and balances.
  • Support forecasting, profitability analysis, and planning.
  • Own and oversee financial reporting accuracy for specific products.
  • Collaborate with front office, operations, and tech teams on finance processes and systems.
  • Support data management and reporting improvements (MIS, Value at Risk testing, etc.).
  • Contribute to regulatory analysis including CCAR and Recovery/Resolution Planning.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or banking, specifically in product or financial control.
  • Strong understanding of balance sheets and general ledger systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, data management, spreadsheets).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines (some weekends during quarter-end).
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Familiarity with Oracle/eLedger and general ledger postings.
  • Experience with process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, OPEX).
  • Knowledge of securitized products (e.g., ABS, RMBS, or mortgages).
