This role offers an exciting opportunity to guide and enhance the innovation process in electrical product design. You will be the driving force behind design and development, ensuring the seamless transition from concept to production, while constantly seeking ways to improve current and new product platforms. Leveraging your expertise, you'll collaborate across various departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and direct interactions with customers to deliver efficient, reliable, and high-quality electrical solutions that meet rigorous industry standards.

In this dynamic position, you'll design and bring electrical products to life, perform critical engineering calculations, and oversee the creation of CAD models and necessary documentation to support production. You'll also be tasked with conducting thorough analyses to elevate product performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities include supporting prototype development, leading testing and validation stages, and ensuring products comply with industry standards. Working closely with manufacturing, you’ll ensure designs are efficient and manufacturable. Your role will further involve solving production challenges through root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

You'll engage in value engineering and continuous improvement activities and work closely with other departments to address product launch challenges. You'll also influence strategic discussions on budget allocation and cost reduction, while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, over six years of experience with a focus on electrical or rotating machinery design, and proficiency with Autodesk CAD software. A sound understanding of electric motor design and familiarity with industry standards such as UL, IEC, NEMA, CE, and RoHS is crucial.
