    Description

Help define a new category of ambient AI from the ground up. Bee is building a wearable that listens to your day and turns everyday context into a personal AI, and we need a Senior Product Designer to shape what this becomes.

Youll design cross-device experiences that span Bees core product and broader ecosystems, defining interaction models for ambient, context-aware computing. This is a rare opportunity to work on a 0-to-1 product with a small, senior team where youll have high ownership, startup pace, Amazon scale.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Design end-to-end experiences across Bees wearable hardware, mobile app, and integrations with third-party ecosystems (Amazon Alexa, Apple Watch, smart home devices, and more)
    • Define and prototype interaction models for ambient, always-listening AI, solving for privacy, context-awareness, and seamless multi-surface experiences
    • Own the design process from concept to launch: research, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, prototypes, and working directly with engineering to ship
    • Establish and evolve design systems and patterns that scale across Bees growing product ecosystem
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals
    • Move fast and iterate in a high-ambiguity environment, comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and learning through shipping
    • Contribute to design culture and craft standards as an early design hire, helping shape how the team works as it grows

About the team Were a small, senior team building something that doesnt exist yet, a new category of ambient AI that lives with you throughout your day. Think early days energy with the resources and distribution of Amazon behind us.

The team is intentionally lean. Everyone owns significant pieces of the product, and youll work directly with founders, engineers, and product leaders daily. Decisions happen in hours, not weeks. We prototype fast, ship often, and learn by putting things in peoples hands (and on their wrists).

Youll be an early design hire, which means your influence extends beyond pixels, youll shape how we think about design, how we work, and what standards we hold ourselves to as the team grows.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
