Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the industry together.

As part of Schwab Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy (SIPSS), you will join a product-and-offer enterprise responsible for defining the future of Schwab's investment products, platforms, and client experiences. SIPSS brings together investment product strategy, offer management, platform strategy, and business execution, enabling Schwab to accelerate innovation and deliver differentiated solutions to clients and advisors.

Within SIPSS, this role sits in Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) and focuses on Schwab's alternative and structured investments business. IOS is responsible for defining strategy and delivering enhancements across mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, 529 plans, managed accounts, alternative investments, structured products, insurance, and annuities.

This is an investment product strategy and offer management role-not a technology product management or development role. Success is driven by strategic thinking, executive influence, opportunity identification, recommendation development, business-case creation, market analysis, and leadership communication. The role does not own software engineering teams, Agile delivery processes, technical backlogs, or release management.

The Senior Product Strategy Manager will help shape the future direction of alternative and structured investment offers through strategic analysis, operating-model development, offer management, and cross-functional leadership. This individual will work closely with senior leaders, business partners, issuers, and external providers to improve advisor and client experiences, drive business growth, strengthen operating capabilities, and inform strategic decision making.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services in one or more of the following areas: consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, investment product management, offer management, business transformation, or financial services strategy.
  • Experience developing strategic recommendations, business cases, and executive presentations that inform leadership decision making.
  • Proven ability to conduct, and harness AI tools to improve / refine, market landscape analysis, competitive benchmarking, client segmentation, and growth strategy work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial analysis, opportunity sizing, competitive assessment, and operating-model evaluation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and strong PowerPoint storytelling and executive communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience leading complex initiatives involving business, risk, compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of alternative investments, structured products, fixed income, wealth management products, or adjacent complex investment solutions.
  • Familiarity with Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Custodian business models.
  • Experience partnering with external asset managers, issuers, banks, fintech providers, or investment-platform providers.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, business-case development, and strategic planning processes.
  • MBA, Series 7, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent advanced education or credentials preferred.

Ideal Candidate Backgrounds

  • Consulting, corporate strategy, or financial services transformation.
  • Asset management strategy, wealth management strategy, or investment product strategy.
  • Product and offer management for investment products, advisor platforms, or complex financial solutions.
  • Business planning and analytics roles that require executive-ready recommendations, stakeholder influence, and strategic roadmap development.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
