• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of conversion and extension)
• Pay Rate: $84.00 $88.00 / Hour (USD)
• Travel Requirements: Not required; local candidates expected to attend collaborative workshops and report to office locations as needed

Job Summary

The PSPS (Public Safety Power Shutoff) Product Manager is responsible for working with Distribution Engineers, Distribution Program Leads, the PSPS IT team, PSPS Product Managers, and the PMO team to maintain and enhance the current state of PSPS Scoping products and to support the Go Live of the PSPS/ADMS module. The Product Management role is part of a matrix organization, with the Product Manager serving as a subject-matter and content expert for the assigned product line.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop a strong understanding of scoping products, business processes, and stakeholder requirements to support product development and operational initiatives
• Contribute to the Product Roadmap and Product Backlog (Excel-based)
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define technology business outcomes for assigned business areas
• Contribute to business process improvements and product prioritization
• Create detailed feature requirements (Wiki/Other) for prioritized features; serve as single point of contact to communicate feature requirements to IT
• Facilitate and perform UAT (user acceptance testing); support end-to-end business testing (pre-FSE, pre-season, in-season)
• Participate in product demos and support training as needed
• Support EOC/PSPS for assigned product area if issues arise

Required Skills

• Strong product management skills with demonstrated ability to work in a large, matrixed organization
• Experience in project management
• Self-driven with strong initiative and follow-through
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively alongside sharp Electrical Engineers and ask the right questions

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with a sales staff marketing products to commercial or industrial customers
• Experience in the energy efficiency or utility industry
• Familiarity with Distribution engineering systems
• Demonstrated superior oral and written communication skills

Education Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, Economics, Marketing, Psychology, or related field required
• Master's degree in Business or Marketing (desired)

Required Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in Product Management
• Experience working in a large, matrixed organization

---

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience working with a sales staff marketing products to commercial or industrial customers
• Experience in the energy efficiency or utility industry
