Job Summary
This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework. There is a required in office meeting once a month.
The Senior Product Manager directs a product's strategic vision and roadmap, and oversees the budget, evolution, and lifecycle of one or more products. The Senior Product Manager works to address the needs of the people we serve in alignment with the Department of Human Services (DHS) mission and vision, DHS Equity Policy, and DHS strategic plan in coordination with product leadership.
Managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, the Senior Product Manager ensures high-quality, timely delivery that aligns with product line objectives and guiding principles - while championing a consistent, intuitive user experience.
Success in this role depends on building strong stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration, and rallying support across the organization for the products direction.
The ideal Senior Product Manager models a collaborative, innovative working style - encouraging cross-functional teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning rooted in product management best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience in product management.
Experience must demonstrate the following:
Leading cross-functional product teams using Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.
Understanding and application of product management practices, such as product lifecycle management, roadmapping, user-centered design, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
Ability to interpret and leverage user research, user testing, and data analytics to make and validate product decisions.
Experience working with Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the principles of human-centered design, continuous improvement, strategic planning, and change management.
Understanding of relationship management principles to gather product input and keep stakeholders informed of product plans.
Familiarity with database and database design concepts, data systems, and data governance and management best practices.
Experience working effectively in a large organization and/or rapidly changing environment, and shifting priorities as needed to produce better product outcomes.
Experience identifying measurable benefit for new features or improvements that align with customer needs and product goals.
Variety of experience working across a variety of backgrounds and cultures.

Complete the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Security Awareness training within 3-business days from the start of employment; and successfully obtain/retain CJIS certification annually.
