    What you'll do...

    Position: Senior Product Manager

Number of Positions Available: Two (2)

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089

Duties: The products managed and designed are internal enterprise software applications used by Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), Walmart's service that stores, packs, and ships merchandise on behalf of third-party sellers. They include: (1) a suite of dispute-investigation and case-management tools used by Seller Support agents to research and resolve seller disputes, for example disputes over an item's recorded dimensions; (2) guided agent workflows that standardize and simplify how agents handle complex cases, such as a workflow for processing seller Returns, to reduce handling time and manual errors; (3) an AI assistant that consolidates a shipment's status, tracking, and freight location into a single view for faster case resolution, such as confirming whether a shipment a seller sent to Walmart was received; and (4) warehouse-operations software for WFS Inbound Consolidation Centers (ICCs), the facilities that receive and consolidate seller inventory, including designing and launching the software required to open two new fulfillment buildings that expand the capacity of the supply chain network, and designing a new application used to receive inbound pallets of merchandise. Because these products are often built by the same engineering teams, the employee manages a roadmap, prioritizing them by urgency, importance, technical effort, and business value. For example, the employee gathers requirements from Seller Support agents, analyzes case data to identify the highest-impact problems, prioritizes the resulting backlog, and manages the staged rollout of new functionality such as enhancements to the shipment-dispute tool. The employee measures a support team's performance metrics, such as average case handle time, before and after a feature is released to quantify its benefit; evaluates the alternative options available to sellers and customers when shaping new features; develops business cases that justify an investment, such as opening the two new buildings; and sets the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to track each product's success. The employee leads the program to prepare and launch the software required to open the two new ICC (Inventory Consolidation Centers) buildings, coordinating across engineering, operations, and facilities teams, communicating goals and milestones, and tracking progress against the launch plan. The employee works with engineering and design partners to turn business needs into clear technical requirements, and communicates status, risks, and insights to stakeholders. Develops and enhances moderately complex products by developing and managing product roadmaps; gathering and documenting requirements; collecting and analyzing customer and product data; turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives; prioritizing product backlog; executing on user and business acceptance criteria; and managing roll out of product features. Defines and manages strategy and business objectives for moderately complex products by conducting benchmark studies and competitive assessments; developing business cases; and setting objectives and key performance indicators for products. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Crafts and develops solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners; and engaging with key partners to deliver and support initiatives; and communicating status and insights related to product performance to stakeholders. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related area and 3 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related area and 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management.

Skills required: Experience defining product strategy and translating business objectives into a product roadmap. Experience conducting user discovery (interviews, workshops, and synthesis) to identify user needs and pain points. Experience creating PRDs and translating needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience prioritizing requirements and backlog using impact, feasibility, dependencies, and strategic alignment. Experience defining success metrics (KPIs) and tracking. Experience performing data analysis to quantify issues and opportunities and supporting prioritization decisions. Experience leading cross-functional delivery using product management methods (backlog management, planning, and delivery coordination). Experience with stakeholder management and influence to drive alignment and decisions. Experience with project and program management across workstreams (plans, milestones, risks, and execution). Experience in change management and rollout planning to drive adoption of new tools and processes. Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications. Experience contributing to technical solution design discussions (dependencies, tradeoffs, and feasibility). Experience collaborating with UX/design teams to communicate and iterate on product solutions. Experience building business cases and cost-benefit analysis to justify investment and prioritize scope. Experience performing market and competitive benchmarking to inform product decisions. Experience leveraging emerging technologies, including Generative AI tools, to enhance product development and decision-making, and experience using product management and collaboration tools. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
