Worldwide Sustainability Technology (WWST) is the central technology organization in Sustainability. Our vision is to build solutions that enable Amazon to be the Earth's most sustainable company. Our solutions enable other Amazon teams to accelerate the execution of work to meet our sustainability goals, including Amazon's public goals and commitments. The WWST team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon's global business teams. Our team is looking for a product leader to build scalable data products across one or more of our environmental impact areas to drive Company-wide strategy and performance measurement. Key job responsibilities - Work with cross-functional leaders (e.g. sustainability experts, scientists, economists, engineers, etc.) to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable, distributed services - Collaborate with groups of experts and cross-functional colleagues in an agile environment - Discover, define, and apply scientific, engineering, and business best practices to customer problems - Work on a variety of challenging problems that have to potential to significantly impact sustainability objectives - Comfortably sort through urgency and opportunity to continuously deliver for customers while maintaining progress towards long term targets About the team Diverse Experiences: World Wide Sustainability (WWS) values diverse experiences. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product - Experience managing technical products or online services - Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning - Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time - Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making - Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning Preferred Qualifications - Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight - Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools - Master's degree - 7+ years of technical product or program management experience - Master's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
