Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Product Owner with our client in Raleigh, NC.

Our client is seeking a senior-level Product Owner to lead a high-priority P2P payments implementation initiative for a financial services client based in Raleigh, NC. This is a fast-paced engagement with a targeted go-live timeline of September, requiring a hands-on leader who can drive execution, remove blockers, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience implementing P2P payment solutions within a banking or financial institution environment. Candidates with prior experience supporting digital payment platforms and customer payment experiences are highly preferred. This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a deadline-driven environment.

The team already includes a dedicated Project Manager, Business Analyst, Fraud, and Operations support resources — the key need is a strong Product Owner who can own the product vision, drive decisions, and keep implementation moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Product Owner for a critical P2P payments implementation initiative with a September delivery target
  • Lead product execution efforts across business, technology, operations, and fraud stakeholders
  • Define and prioritize product backlog, user stories, and implementation requirements
  • Drive decision-making and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to maintain delivery timelines and project momentum
  • Coordinate with fraud and operations teams to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and operational readiness
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers proactively and drive resolution
  • Act as the primary business/product liaison between stakeholders and technical teams
  • Ensure successful implementation, testing, and readiness for production rollout

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience implementing P2P payment solutions within a banking or financial services environment
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner leading complex digital payment or banking implementations
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, digital banking platforms, and financial services operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with aggressive timelines
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive accountability and execution
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments

The base range for this contract position is $60-$90 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
