Opportunity Overview


Senior Product and Segment Manager


This role owns the growth, profitability and long-term strategy of the Application Processor segment across the Mobile, Edge AI and Robotics within Teradyne’s Semiconductor Test business. This leader defines strategy, drives product and platform roadmaps and partners cross-functionally to deliver differentiated solutions.





The role works closely with engineering, marketing, sales, operations and executive leadership and directly engages with customers ranging from emerging innovators to Tier-1 semiconductor companies.





Key Responsibilities


Segment Strategy & Business Ownership



+ Define and execute a 4-year strategy and business plan covering revenue growth, market share and profitability.


+ Own segment-level forecasting, including revenue, demand and lifecycle planning to guide capacity and inventory decisions.


+ Drive prioritization, balancing near-term revenue objectives with long-term platform investments.


+ Accountable for segment financial performance, including revenue growth, gross margin and long-term profitability.



Product & Roadmap Leadership



+ Lead creation and execution of the product and platform roadmap for application processor test solutions.


+ Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: concept, business case, roadmap definition, launch, sustain and end-of-life.


+ Drive platform-level strategy and alignment across instruments, software and services.


+ Translate market requirements and customer needs into clear engineering requirements, priorities and trade-offs.



Market & Competitive Leadership



+ Grow market share through targeted design-in strategies, competitive positioning and clear differentiation versus alternative ATE platforms.


+ Define pricing and packaging strategy for both the general market and strategic customers.


+ Develop compelling sales and marketing collateral that clearly articulates value, ROI and differentiation.



Customer & Ecosystem Engagement



+ Identify and develop relationships with emerging and strategic customers globally, in close partnership with sales.


+ Act as an executive-level interface for key customers, influencing test strategy, roadmap alignment and long-term partnerships.


+ Monitor market trends across adjacent domains (cloud, PC, automotive and memory) to inform segment strategy and expansion opportunities.



Executive Communication & Governance



+ Synthesize market, financial and execution data to support Quarterly Business Reviews, executive updates and investor-facing materials.


+ Clearly communicate risks, trade-offs and opportunities to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience



+ BS, preferably in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.


+ MBA preferred, or equivalent managerial experience.


+ Technical background in ATE test development and semiconductor device testing preferred.


+ 15+ years of experience in semiconductor marketing, product management or sales with demonstrated ownership of complex portfolios.


+ Strong understanding of application processors and the semiconductor ecosystem.


+ Proven ability to lead through influence across engineering, sales, operations and marketing.


+ Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking and executive communication skills.


+ Willingness to travel approximately 20%.






Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $163,100-$260,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.


Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
