Senior Production Manager

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a Senior Production Manager for a direct hire, permanent position located in Milpitas, CA. This role is integral in ensuring that production meets agreed customer delivery requirements and maintains the required quality standards. The position offers an annual salary of $130,000 and provides an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production meets customer delivery requirements and quality standards.
• Proven track record of increasing throughput while meeting/exceeding established quality standards and driving cost reductions.
• Ensure all team members work in a safe environment according to company procedures.
• Create and update work instructions and procedures to ensure workforce adherence to the latest requirements.
• Manage and coordinate workforce and equipment utilization against productivity and utilization rate targets.
• Ensure throughput per work order aligns with the capacity model and master production schedule.
• Drive cost improvements to mitigate overtime while optimizing labor using lean manufacturing principles.
• Liaise with other departments and customers to recommend changes that enhance production efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
• Produce daily, monthly, and quarterly production reports.
• Adhere to quality policy, plan, and manual, including ISO, IPC, and J-STD standards.
• Create and monitor production dashboards for visual management of key operational processes and provide visibility to workforce priorities and schedules.
• Ensure workforce training and certifications are well-maintained with a target of a "3-deep" cross-training depth chart.
• Ensure adherence to the 5s process in all production activities and meet 5s scoring targets.
• Report any areas of concern to the manager.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of experience in similar positions within the manufacturing/EMS industry/SMT.
• Strong autonomy and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Results-oriented with leadership capabilities.
• Resourceful with the ability to liaise with customers.
• Proficient in 5s methodology, ISO, IATF, and IPC/J-STD Standards.
• Knowledge of Safety & Environmental Standards and Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Required Work Hours

The position requires availability Monday through Friday, during first shift hours.
