Senior Production Manager
Location: Milpitas, CA (100% onsite)
Salary: $130,000/YR
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production meets customer delivery commitments while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiency, optimize resources, and foster a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive production output to meet or exceed customer delivery requirements aligned with the master production schedule
- Improve throughput, reduce costs, and maintain high quality standards
- Ensure a safe workplace by enforcing safety procedures and environmental compliance
- Develop and maintain work instructions and operating procedures
- Optimize workforce and equipment utilization to achieve productivity goals
- Monitor throughput per work order against capacity and production plans
- Implement lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce overtime
- Partner cross-functionally and with customers to identify process improvements
- Engage directly with customers to ensure expectations are consistently met
- Produce and analyze production reports (daily, monthly, quarterly)
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IPC, J-STD, and other quality standards
- Develop real-time production dashboards to track performance and priorities
- Support training programs and maintain a "3-deep" cross-trained workforce
- Enforce 5S standards across all production areas
- Uphold ethical standards and company code of conduct
- Identify and escalate operational risks to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role
- Background in Manufacturing, EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), or SMT preferred
