iAutomation, a full-service automation company, developing robotic solutions and offering design, engineering, and integration (DE&I) services, product support, and production services, has an immediate opening for a Senior Production Planner in Franklin, Massachusetts.
The Senior Production Planner will be responsible for the master production schedule for manufacturing cells.
- Compile and maintain master production schedule for all manufacturing cells in the specific business line.
- Determine delivery confirmation dates for individual work orders using but not limited to, customer request date, material availability, labor capacity, quoted lead time, document availability, and other influencing factors
- Release work orders to factory in a timely manner such as to achieve committed delivery dates based on the customers production schedule and prioritization matrix
- Monitor stock levels of subassemblies and release work orders to maintain committed stock levels along with raw materials
- Track material availability against released work orders and compile material shortage reports communicate these shortages to the supply chain team to affect accurate and achievable delivery confirmations closely paired with the customers production schedule
- Release new Work orders based off customer BOM’s and assemblies
- Transacting ECO’s to the active WO’s, both customer supplied ECOS and ECO’s from production (Daily)
- Work closely with the production team lead to ensure the WO’s are being picked from the warehouse and coordinating priorities with the warehouse team lead
- Communicate with cell leaders to determine status of assigned projects, and provide updated confirmation dates and priorities to the production manager and the PM
- Work with PM and Production leads to drive key metrics and capacity reporting
- Work with warehousing ensure cancelled, and stranded material are restocked
- Support and drive process improvements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field preferred, professional certifications such as American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and 5+ years of experience as a Production Planner.
Salary Range: $91,500 – $112,900 annually.
This range reflects the expected base pay for this position in Massachusetts and is based on internal equity and the established job family compensation structure. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
