Job Details

The Senior Production Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all production planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities within a manufacturing or processing environment. This role ensures efficient use of materials and resources, maintains product quality, and aligns production output with customer demand while minimizing waste and operational costs.

Hours: 1st shift 6am-230pm
Days: Monday-Friday

Job Requirements:
  • Lead and manage the production planning team responsible for daily, weekly, and long‑term scheduling.
  • Develop production plans based on demand forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints.
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement to align material supply with production requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling and management of inventory, minimizing waste and maximizing resource utilization.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules in real time in response to supply variability or operational changes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize inventory levels across all product categories to support production efficiency and customer fulfillment.
  • Analyze production performance and key metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Sales, Logistics, and Warehousing teams to support overall business objectives.
  • Oversee ERP/MRP planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) for production and inventory management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations within a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing planning or operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including handling time‑sensitive or high‑turnover materials.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms.
