    Senior Professional Services Veterinarian

    Description

    Senior Professional Services Veterinarian at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA, Inc. in Ridgefield, CT (Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed in any location in the U.S.)

    Job Duties: Management of medical education of veterinary clinics in 6 U.S. states in the Salt Lake District (MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO) on behalf of the company. Travel to the designated states for in-person education for veterinary practices and for local veterinary organizations. Responsible for technical acumen of sales force (8 employees) who reside in the designated states. Act as technical liaison to all U.S. veterinary colleges in the designated states, which involves in-person meetings. Act as pharmacovigilance, technical marketing, and R&D representative to the designated states. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed in any location in the U.S.

    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm)

    Job Requirements: Doctorate degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Veterinary Medicine and five (5) years of experience in veterinary practice. Must have four (4) years of experience in small animal clinical practice. Must have two (2) years of experience in animal health industry. Must have experience with: presenting technical material to individuals ranging from veterinary assistants to boarded specialty veterinarians as well as group sizes ranging from 10 to 150 individuals; supporting a sales team that sells a broad portfolio of animal health products, including providing training, medical education delivery, adverse event reporting, and case management support; project management; pharmacovigilance or regulatory affairs; and, corporate animal health environment. Must obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one (1) U.S. state within one (1) year of starting employment in the offered role. 70% domestic travel required to MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO.
