Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Program Manager to serve as the primary lead for proposal execution and planning activities. This individual will partner with engineering, operations, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and business development teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into executable program plans. The role is highly visible and plays a critical part in evaluating program feasibility, managing risk, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead proposal planning activities from opportunity assessment through submission.
  • Develop and validate integrated project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
  • Assess organizational readiness, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and program feasibility.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align technical, operational, financial, and schedule requirements.
  • Support bid/no-bid decisions through risk, cost, schedule, and capability assessments.
  • Ensure customer requirements, statements of work, and contractual obligations are fully addressed.
  • Facilitate identification and mitigation of technical, operational, supply chain, and schedule risks.
  • Present proposal execution plans and readiness assessments to leadership.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and support successful transition from proposal to program execution.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on proposal planning accuracy and execution success.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, proposal management, project management, or a related function.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional planning efforts in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, engineering, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong background developing project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
  • Experience evaluating program risk, cost, operational impacts, and execution feasibility.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.
  • Experience with complex technical or manufacturing programs strongly preferred.
