Senior Program Manager – Data Center Network Deployment & Commissioning
Location: Travel Required – Multiple Customer Data Center Sites
Travel: Extensive travel; candidate will be required to work onsite for multiple weeks at a time in Canada
Schedule: Monday–Friday, onsite; schedule may vary based on deployment and commissioning requirement
Hourly Pay Rate: $90-$100
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex, large-scale data center network deployment and commissioning activities for enterprise-grade infrastructure environments.
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, readiness, deployment, validation, and commissioning of three large-scale network environments: Out-of-Band (OOB), North-South, and East-West networks.
The North-South and East-West environments incorporate InfiniBand-based architectures, requiring a strong understanding of high-performance networking, infrastructure readiness, cabling, quality control, and cross-functional deployment coordination.
This is a highly hands-on program leadership role requiring significant onsite travel, with candidates expected to remain at customer locations for several weeks at a time during critical deployment and commissioning phases.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a senior-level program leader who can operate between technical teams and executive stakeholders. You should be comfortable walking into a complex deployment environment, quickly understanding the current state, identifying gaps and dependencies, establishing priorities, and driving multiple teams toward successful network commissioning.
Experience leading large-scale data center, AI/HPC, InfiniBand, or network infrastructure deployments is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end program execution for large-scale data center network deployments through readiness, validation, commissioning, and activation.
- Manage network design and readiness validation activities, including Rack-to-P2P-to-Ethernet requirements, to identify and resolve issues prior to network activation.
- Develop and maintain integrated cross-functional project plans covering facilities, supply chain, logistics, cabling, deployment, engineering, and network teams.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams and ensure critical dependencies are identified, tracked, and resolved.
- Provide strong onsite leadership during deployment, bring-up, testing, validation, and commissioning activities.
- Rapidly reprioritize activities and redirect resources based on changing site conditions, dependencies, material availability, technical issues, and program risks.
- Drive execution quality and QA/QC throughout deployment activities.
- Ensure cabling, materials, equipment, installation, and configuration activities meet established quality and readiness standards.
- Partner closely with engineering, facilities, logistics, supply chain, cabling, and deployment teams to maintain schedule and execution confidence.
- Identify risks and blockers early and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
- Lead issue escalation and drive timely resolution of critical deployment and commissioning issues.
- Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and overall program readiness.
- Provide regular status reporting to customer and internal leadership.
- Ensure all three network environments are properly validated and ready for commissioning and activation.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of program/project management experience, preferably within large-scale data center, network infrastructure, or technology deployment environments.
- Proven experience leading complex data center network deployments from planning through commissioning.
- Experience coordinating large, cross-functional infrastructure programs involving engineering, facilities, supply chain, logistics, cabling, and deployment teams.
- Strong understanding of data center network architecture, infrastructure readiness, and network validation.
- Experience with InfiniBand and/or high-performance computing (HPC) networking environments strongly preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale cabling deployments and understanding the importance of cabling accuracy and installation quality.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, dependencies, risks, and changing priorities.
- Strong QA/QC mindset with experience identifying and resolving deployment issues before activation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, escalation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly technical customer environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification.
- Experience with AI infrastructure, GPU clusters, HPC, or hyperscale data centers.
- Experience with InfiniBand, Ethernet, OOB, North-South, and East-West network environments.
- Experience with rack deployment, structured cabling, P2P connectivity, network bring-up, and commissioning.
- Experience working with large enterprise or hyperscale data center customers.
Travel Requirements:
This is a travel-intensive position.
The selected candidate must be comfortable traveling to customer data center locations and working onsite for several consecutive weeks at a time during critical deployment and commissioning phases.
Candidates should be prepared for frequent travel and extended onsite assignments based on project requirements.
