Role Summary:
Lead delivery and operationalization of a highly secure Azure environment with strict compliance and control requirements and have audit ready evidence available, alongside complex system integration across enterprise platforms. This role will drive end-to-end execution planning, delivery, readiness, and operational handoff while coordinating cross-functional teams in Technology, Security, Risk, Compliance, Architecture, and Operations.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end project plan to deliver a secure, compliant Azure environment and integrated services, including scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Lead program ceremonies and governance (status reporting, RAID, change control, steering forums) with disciplined execution and clear accountability.
  • Coordinate technical workstreams (cloud engineering, identity/access, data, networking, database, ISD, platform ops) and ensure aligned delivery plans.
  • Drive readiness for operationalization: runbooks, support models, SLAs/OLAs, monitoring/alerting, incident response, and knowledge transfer.
  • Manage third-party/vendor engagements and deliverables where applicable
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (cloud engineering, security, architecture, operations) to prioritize remediation, improve control coverage, and drive operational resilience.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet stringent security and compliance requirements consistent with firm policies and control frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Information Security, Risk, and Compliance to align on identity management, strong authentication, privileged access, logging/auditing, and privacy impact considerations.
  • Facilitate reviews, evidence collection, and control attestations for readiness assessments; track control gaps, remediation plans, and control-aligned testing.
  • Establish oversight and documentation for external services supporting the environment; ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting expectations are defined.
  • Provide transparent, data-driven status, escalations, and executive-ready communications; proactively manage cross-team dependencies and critical path items.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation: program plans, architecture/operational artifacts, decision logs, and runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of project/program management in large-scale technology delivery, with at least 3+ years focused on cloud (Azure preferred) and enterprise system integration.
  • Proven success delivering secure, compliance-heavy environments with robust identity/access, logging/auditing, and operational control requirements.
  • Strong command of project governance: RAID management, executive reporting, financials, change control, and vendor management.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and aligning delivery across multiple platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and concepts (e.g., Entra ID, managed identities, Azure SQL/MI, storage, networking, policies, RBAC) from a PM perspective.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-facing presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operationalizing cloud environments in regulated contexts (finance, public sector, healthcare) with rigorous control expectations.
  • Exposure to privacy impact assessments, data classification/discovery, and evidence-based control testing.
  • Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2; Agile/SAFe; Azure fundamentals or equivalent cloud certifications.

Additional Information:
  • Duration: 12-month contract opportunity
  • Hybrid Work Model: 4 days onsite required weekly in NYC office
  • Rate Range: $90-95/hr. W2 (based on experience)
