The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in Excel, demonstrate an extensive familiarity with database structures and queries, and, preferably, hold substantial expertise in the Copperleaf application C55. The position requires a keen aptitude for analyzing large and complex datasets to identify potential errors and validate test results, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and critical thinking. Moreover, the candidate must exhibit initiative, strong interpersonal abilities, and possess familiarity with project management.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Leads the development and maintenance of enterprise investment portfolios, including both five-year and long-range capital plans. Responsibilities include investment request risk-based valuation, portfolio scenario modeling, peer reviews, coordinating work sessions, and overseeing asset management information. The position ensures alignment with enterprise priorities, governs portfolio tools, and advances process improvements in investment development and portfolio management, delivering innovative solutions and collaborating across the enterprise.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
Supervisory Responsibility - In a lead role, directs actions and assigns work to support investment and portfolio development.
Budget Responsibility - None directly or full time but will be expected to understand finance budget processes and how that impacts business unit portfolios related to risk and performance.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education. - B.S. degree in engineering, finance, engineering technology, math, physics, chemistry, or related science, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Experience. - Seven years' experience in the electric power industry requiring a comprehensive knowledge of power plant or transmission engineering, programs, regulatory compliance, and operations and maintenance or experience in other TVA business areas where investments/projects directly impact performance, such as Information Technology or Facilities. Experience with Copperleaf C55 is desirable.
Certification/License, etc - A license as a professional engineer, Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Asset Manager are desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to identify options and deliver prioritized, risk‑based solutions. Strong knowledge of power plant design and other TVA investment‑related business areas. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage conflict effectively. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other TVA organizations
Demonstrated capability across utility generation activities and other TVA investment‑focused business areas. Proven ability to interpret broad policy direction, provide program leadership, strengthen enterprise performance, and communicate clearly with individuals and groups. Candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position access and essential job functions. Must be able and willing to travel across the valley to support development of work product.
