Description Global Fleet and Products (GFP) Middle Mile Fleet team is looking for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Senior Program Manager to execute on GFP's exciting fleet goals. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done. You will be able to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role. Key job responsibilities This role is inherently cross-functional-you will work closely with Business Development, Core Operations, Legal, Finance, Network planning, and executive teams to bring products to market. This job will require exceptional communication skills and having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving transportation challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results. You will also: - Own variable fleet strategy for North America Middle Mile power units, including operation plan, budget, rental vehicle specification, rental process, contracts, procurement, delivery and disposition - Negotiate and manage third-party rental partnerships to secure adequate capacity during peak and year-round operations - Own financial analysis and budget tracking for variable fleet programs, making data-driven decisions to optimize costs - Develop strategies to improve fleet utilization, increase acceptance rates with programs, and balance supply constraints with operational demands - Serve as escalation point for rental vehicles, demonstrating strong communication skills and knowing when to escalate appropriately - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast capacity needs and implement process improvements that drive operational excellence - Serve as the Single Threaded Leader for all power unit safety incidents and establish standard work for future A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution. Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience communicating with VP-level decision makers; experience communicating expectations and requirements with business and technology teams through written proposals Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities - Experience in high-level negotiations, strategic partnerships, and contract management - Experience in Automotive or Fleet Management Leadership roles - Ability to independently establish OEM relationships and gather benchmarking data to make data-driven product decisions - Ability to work in ambiguous environments and overcome challenges with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism - Proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders - Ability to meet deadlines and maintain strong performance in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
