Title:

Senior Program Manager SME

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager - Product Improvement and Aircraft Maintenance Subject Matter Expert to support the KC-46 Division (AFLCMC/WLCS) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The successful candidate will provide acquisition planning and execution support to the KC-46 Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Department of War (DoW), a proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic team environments, and the initiative to work independently with minimal oversight. This role requires proactive engagement with diverse stakeholders. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the local Wright-Patterson AFB area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop acquisition planning and execution documentation for complex defense projects; analyze cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
  • Provide acquisition planning and execution support across the full lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, testing, fielding, and sustainment.
  • Apply expertise in DoW acquisition processes to support product improvement and aircraft maintenance areas.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders across government, contractor organizations, and war fighter communities.
  • Develop, track, and analyze program metrics to ensure effective program oversight and decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and status updates to senior leadership.
  • Ensure program compliance with DoW, Air Force, and AFLCMC policies, regulations, and acquisition frameworks.
  • Identify program risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution.
  • Lead and facilitate Integrated Product Teams and stakeholder organizations to ensure alignment across functional areas.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years experience managing aviation maintenance projects
  • Experience executing aircraft Product Improvement Working Groups

Desired Qualifications:

  • Air Force aviation maintenance experience
  • Experience supporting multiple aircraft: F-35, F-22, F-15, F-16, KC-10
  • Low observable and maintenance experience
