Senior Program Test Manager Coppell, TX- Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced quality assurance professional to lead testing and quality management activities across complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives. This role is accountable for driving testing excellence across multiple interconnected projects, applications, integrations, and digital platforms. The successful candidate will establish testing direction, oversee quality governance, manage program risks, and ensure solutions are delivered with a high degree of reliability and business readiness.
The position requires close collaboration with business leaders, delivery teams, technical architects, product stakeholders, and external partners to support successful program outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Enterprise Testing Strategy & Leadership
Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing vision aligned with overall program objectives.
Establish quality assurance frameworks, testing methodologies, and governance practices across the program landscape.
Provide leadership for testing activities spanning multiple projects, systems, and technology domains.
Ensure quality objectives are integrated into program delivery plans and release milestones.
Direct all phases of the testing lifecycle, from planning through production readiness.
Program Test Management
Create and manage integrated testing roadmaps, schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
Coordinate various testing disciplines, including integration, end-to-end validation, regression, user acceptance, and non-functional testing.
Synchronize testing activities across internal teams, implementation partners, and vendors.
Track overall testing progress and proactively address schedule, quality, and delivery risks.
Ensure testing deliverables are completed according to program commitments.
Quality Assurance Governance
Define measurable quality standards and readiness criteria for each testing stage.
Monitor and report on key quality indicators and program health metrics.
Evaluate testing effectiveness through measures such as coverage, defect trends, automation adoption, execution performance, and release readiness.
Promote process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing maturity.
Support auditability and compliance with organizational quality standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with program leadership, product managers, business representatives, architects, and
engineering teams to align testing priorities.
Deliver executive-level reporting on testing status, quality trends, risks, and mitigation plans.
Facilitate issue management discussions and release decision forums.
Serve as a primary point of contact for testing-related communications across cross-functional teams.
Defect and Risk Oversight
Assess quality-related risks, dependencies, and potential business impacts across the program.
Drive prioritization, tracking, and resolution of identified defects.
Monitor critical issues to ensure timely remediation before deployment activities.
Escalate significant quality concerns and provide recommendations to support informed decisionmaking.
Testing Automation & Technology Enablement
Champion automation-first testing practices where appropriate.
Guide the implementation and adoption of modern testing frameworks and tools.
Support automated functional, API, integration, and performance testing initiatives.
Encourage the effective use of industry-standard test management and defect-tracking solutions.
Required Qualifications
Academic Background
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advanced degree is considered an advantage.
Professional Experience
Extensive experience in software quality assurance, testing leadership, and delivery governance.
Demonstrated success leading testing efforts within large, multi-project technology programs.
Experience supporting enterprise applications, cloud-based environments, and complex system
integrations.
Strong familiarity with Agile, Scrum, scaled Agile frameworks, and traditional project delivery
approaches.
