Description
Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Programmer to lead planning excellence for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).
About the Role
This is a senior-level opportunity to own and lead the programming function for the alliance. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule, driving process improvements, and mentoring engineers in planning disciplines. You'll play a key role in identifying sequencing efficiencies, managing schedule risk, and ensuring delivery confidence across the project lifecycle.
What you'll bring to the role
We're after someone who brings deep technical expertise and practical delivery experience. You'll be confident navigating complex infrastructure environments and comfortable leading planning conversations across all levels of the alliance. You might come from infrastructure, industrial production, vertical builds, mining, gas, or utilities. If you understand sequencing and planning in complex environments, we want to hear from you.
About Te Awa Kairangi
Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme. Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whnui and Ngti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.
About Us
We pride ourselves on safely delivering a wide variety of construction and infrastructure projects for the people of New Zealand and the South Pacific. But our power is not in what we do, it's in who we are. We are a team of 3,700 people working under three brands: Fletcher Construction, Higgins, and Brian Perry Civil. We may be a big team, but we haven't lost sight of what really matters: looking after our people.
We recognise that treating our people well is only partially about what happens during work hours. It's also about the impact we have outside of work hours too. That's why we have incredible learning and development opportunities for staff and their families, industry-leading parental leave, support systems and generous corporate discounts.
Interested? Apply Now!
We are actively looking to fill this role and encourage your early application. Applications are reviewed regularly, and we reserve the right to remove the advertisement before the advertised closing date.
Research shows that females and minority groups don't always apply for roles unless they match 100% of the requirements. So, if this role is of interest but you feel you don't quite fit, we encourage you to apply anyway. We are enriched by many nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We are proud of our diversity and see it as one of the things that make us better together.
