We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Permanent Senior Project Accountant. This position is an integral part of our Accounting and Finance team and requires a candidate who is experienced in managing financial and accounting tasks related to large-scale projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects, including job costing, change orders, and lien waivers.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing and managing all financial aspects of project accounting, including job costing, change orders, and lien waivers.
2. Utilizing software tools such as Viewpoint, AIA billing, Timberline, Sage, and Vista Viewpoint to manage and analyze project finances.
3. Coordinating with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and tracking of projects.
4. Reviewing and verifying project costs and revenues, ensuring they are recorded accurately in accordance with accounting standards.
5. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to project accounting.
6. Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to project finances.
7. Assisting with the development and implementation of project accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Project Accountant position will have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or a related role in the Accounting and Finance industry.
3. Proven experience with job costing, AIA billing, lien waivers, and change orders.
4. Proficiency in using accounting software such as Viewpoint, Timberline, Sage, and Vista Viewpoint.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers and other team members.
7. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
