Summary:
Qualifications: A Designer with advanced understanding all aspects of project design, documentation, and delivery. Plan and conduct work requiring professional judgement and, as warranted, substantial adaptation of standard practices. Represents the company in project activities. Lead internal design teams and provide subject matter expertise firm-wide. For training and development purposes, this may include assignments of a higher level. Conduct oneself in accordance with RM Creative’s mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a multi-disciplinary team including design, selection, coordination, architectural and interior detailing, and development of the technical specifications
Lead presentation of ideas to design team and to clients. Communicate project status, and build relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other team members.
Communicate with other design disciplines, vendors, product representatives and Owner’s vendors to ensure coordination of engineering systems, equipment, and project documents.
Prepare written documentation of meetings and of other communication related to the project.
Ensure that deliverables meet internal and external project parameters, including time, budget, and scope. Monitor adherence to work plan.
Proactively monitor project progress. Perform quality assurance reviews of design and contract documents. Provide constructive feedback and support to design team.
Provide mentorship to Project Architects, Project Interior Designers, Project Designers, and Designers
Provide subject matter expertise. Contribute to firm-wide quality assurance and quality control processes. Prepare presentations and lead activities at RMC University meetings
Key Working Relationships:
Directs Project Architects, Project Interior Designers, Project Designers, Designers, and Interns.
Directed by Project Managers
Reports to Principals.
