    Job Title: Senior Project Controls Specialist (P6 Scheduler) – Contract

    Company: System One
    Location: Houston, TX -Onsite
    Position Type: Contract Assignment (40 hours/week)
    Duration: Through end of 2026 with potential extension

    Position Overview

    System One is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Primavera P6 Scheduler) to support complex nuclear and large-scale energy projects from design through final delivery. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules to ensure alignment with project scope, cost, and delivery objectives.

    The ideal candidate will have strong experience in nuclear or large industrial projects, with the ability to manage complex schedules, identify risks, and provide strategic insight to project leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Scheduling & Planning

    • Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
    • Ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and resource plans
    • Integrate schedules across multiple projects into a master schedule

    Schedule Analysis & Risk Management

    • Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk assessments
    • Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions
    • Proactively mitigate risks impacting project timelines

    Project Controls Integration

    • Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and supply chain teams
    • Align schedule data with cost, procurement, and manufacturing timelines
    • Support earned value analysis (EVM) and progress reporting

    Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance, and scheduling best practices
    • Maintain consistency in coding structures, calendars, and resource assignments
    • Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
      (or equivalent experience)
    • 10+ years of project scheduling experience on large-scale projects
    • 5+ years of Primavera P6 experience
    • Experience supporting nuclear, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects
    • Strong knowledge of:
      • Integrated project scheduling
      • Critical path methodology
      • Schedule risk analysis
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting nuclear power plant projects or outages
    • Advanced degree (preferred)
    • Experience working within PMO environments
    • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM)

    Additional Requirements

    • Eligibility to work under DOE regulations (10 CFR Part 810)
    • Ability to travel (~25%) to Houston, TX
    • Strong adaptability in a dynamic, regulated project environment
