Job Description To expand our current CEI operations, Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for FDOT CEI pursuits throughout Florida. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the construction management and quality control team in administering all aspects related to FDOT projects in accordance with FDOT standards and procedures.Responsibilities Lead CEI project pursuitsProvide leadership to the construction management teamLead continuous staff improvement and trainingPrepare monthly project status reportManage and administer QA/QC programLead project progress meetingsProvide contract administrative support servicesOversee project inspectors and support staff including subconsultantsEvaluate project claims, delays and coordinate timely resolution with clientDevelop cost estimates and budgetsResolve project issues with the clientRequired Skills & Required Experience Civil Engineering degree or degree in a related fieldProfessional Engineer in Florida, or ability to obtain in 6 months10 years' experience in construction management of civil highway and bridge projectsPreferable experience with FDOT projectsAbility to build strong relationships within FDOTWorking knowledge of FDOT construction and administrative procedures and programsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong command of construction scheduling, proposal development and contractor means and methods for typical roadway construction elements to include, clearing and grubbing, environmental, drainage, piling, drilled shafts, retaining walls, paving and pavement base, bridge construction, concrete, and asphalt, singing and lighting, ITS and tollingStrong critical thinking skillsAt this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
