Job Requirements

This position leads the comprehensive design, detailed analysis, and seamless integration of electrical building infrastructure systems, encompassing power distribution, standby and emergency power systems, lighting solutions, low-voltage systems, and electrical support for HVAC and control system integration. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, efficient, and sustainable electrical designs that meet project specifications and client requirements. This position is responsible for ensuring that all electrical solutions adhere to the highest standards of safety, comply fully with applicable codes and regulations, and are practical for construction and long-term operation. Additionally, the role requires careful consideration of performance metrics, system reliability, cost-effectiveness, and lifecycle management to deliver robust and maintainable infrastructure that supports the overall success of the project.


Work Experience

Associate degree required; Bachelors preferred; advanced degree a plus.

10+ years in mechanical building systems or energy projects.

Proven project leadership and team management experience.

Professional certifications preferred.


Technical Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in HVAC design, load calculations, and central plant systems.

Experience with sequences of operation and BAS integration.

Skilled in system retrofits, upgrades, and performance analysis.

Knowledge of codes, safety, and environmental regulations.

Proficient in Basis of Design documents and construction specs.

Experience coordinating with electrical, structural, controls, and architectural teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry design software.


Leadership & Collaboration

Ability to mentor engineers and lead cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and customer engagement skills.

Skilled at translating technical value into business outcomes.
